Taieri Spoodles
Welcome to Taieri Spoodles. We are offer a family-run small breeding programme based on the Taieri in Mosgiel, Dunedin. We fell in love with the Spoodle breed when we adopted our first two Spoodle puppies, Magic and Otis. The combination of the happy-go-lucky Cocker Spaniel temperament combined with the intelligence of the Miniature Poodle and with the added bonus of a low to non-shedding coat makes for an ideal family pet.
Our puppies are raised in the heart of our home and so are used to the hustle and bustle of busy family life. They are also well-socialised with children as well as other dogs and, occasionally, our cat as well. Our dogs are all first and foremost family pets. We do not run a kennel-style programme and so our dogs are all much loved members of their human families.
We understand that adopting a puppy is a huge commitment both financially and emotionally. Your dog is likely going to be a member of your family for between 10 to 15 years so you need to get it right. We appreciate people taking their time when making a decision about adding a four-legged member to their family.
